It took me a while to get to work on this one, pretty much entirely because I’d never attempted a military theme before and didn’t really know what I was doing. Figured some stuff out as I went along. Thing one, use darker colors on everything. Thing two, make sure you’ve attached your fodder BEFORE spraypainting, or it WILL fall off a lot. Thing three, use more than one green on that last coat, otherwise it looks very flat. And final thing, MILITAR GUNS ARE ACTUALLY IN USE. This thing isn’t nearly beat up enough to pass for a military piece.
All that said, I’m still pretty happy with it… just wary of what I’ll do with future military schemes, as I like the look in general and I do indeed plan to be using it again.
Consider this picture "complete until otherwise noted"- I think it's final, but I might go back in and darken the green, and also add text if I can find my damn stencil around here...
Features: - Standard Super Soaker Clip compatible and also has one custom painted clip. - 25 Feet of Range, before spread and wind (around 30 with spread and wind). - Reeeeeally complex paint job by my standards- black Krylon undercoat, partitioning, silver Krylon base, partitioning, green Kyrlon overcoat, partitioning, gunmetal gray Rusoleum speckle coat, acrylic detailing in two shades of silver and two shades of Black. -Modular: Gun, Clip, Stock. The clip is interchangeable with any Nerf Super Soaker clip, the stock is interchangeable with most Nerf stocks. - Cool spinny water pattern.
Thanks!... I dunno if I would use it for a film, though, I'd personally like to amp the quality a few clicks before I went for that. But I really do think I'm finally getting the hang of painting, and it's starting to really show up in my newer pieces. The difference between this one and the paint job on the Archon is pretty steep. >.>
Meself and some friends have made a couple of films, mostly short films and so on, and it's really good fun to do. And with better props I bet we could've made better stuff... Anyways, you should go for it!
I bet you could use this in some Sci-fi film or something!
I would have used it ^^
