#23: The Scynavoid Dodeca Gun (2011)

This was a really quick project. I just found these two matching Tek 6’s at Savers for a total of 4 bucks and I couldn’t resist knocking just one more custom out before going back to school and shifting nearly entirely to commission work. And y'know, it actually turned out pretty awesome!

The gun belongs to a race called the Scynavoid, the same betalonned beings to possess the Scynavoid Plasma Autocannon, in my gallery. The Dodeca is what passes for a pistol on a planet where the inhabitants have exoskeletons that can’t be penetrated by a single shot of plasma. It fires two simultaneous blasts that converge on a single point about twenty feet away- definitely a close combat weapon. However, the range is actually much further, and thanks to the large capacity, the gun can function like a shotgun at further ranges, scatting shots throughout a crowd of foes. It can also shoot independently for more precise, squishy targets… like Humans.

Features:
- Two auto-rotating cylinders
- A 12-dart capacity, which is pretty good for a pistol
- 30 Feet of Range for each dart, and a Convergence range of about 20 feet
- Independent or simultaneous firing
- Takes practically any dart
- A metallic paint job utilizing many paints both spray and acrylic in a style similar to the Autocannon.

Also, for those interested, I recently did a battery switch and AR removal of the Autocannon... it's getting 45 feet now and firing much faster!
