The Inferium Steam rifle with some paint on it. There's two more colors to put on it yet, but this gives a really good idea of where I was going with this all along. Still need to detail it and then go in with some metal and leather. Hope the client appreciates this, had to do a lot of this inside because of the inclement weather and I'm shocked I didn't get a nosebleed.
You know I told you on FB, but this is really lovely. Whatever color paint that is is sweet! I love the little touches you've done here, honestly a thing of beauty.
The color is a black base (Rustoleum Black Matte Base Coat) with silver speckle (Krylon Brilliants Silver) and finally a very quick gold wash (Krylon Brilliants Gold). Blending it all with the Matte spray we endorsed on the PWC page gives it a very smoky champagne color, which will look great with the dark red leather and chestnut brass hand-painted details. This is gonna be one happy client!... at least it will be after he gets over the shipping cost from here to England.
always wanted a mod of the Hawk, but I have to say the Buzzbee Hawk suffers from poor quality, I have 2 the first one broke after a few month of use the second one broke a few weeks of use.
Reinforced the internals and the thinner parts of the shell with plumber's putty and switched out to a heavier guage screw for every hole. Hopefully that's enough to keep it functional. Either way, though, this is just a prop; the firing aspect is only there so the guy making the movie can easily figure bullet trajectory when doing CG work.
The hook will make more sense when the piece is done. That's actually the attachment point for the leather carry-strap that extends from the stock to the handle. I did a mockup for myself and it balances out quite nicely... just looks weird without the strap.

and I don't play rough with my nerf guns.
